As you will see from the many inspiring stories in this edition of Highlights, your support continues to help St Vincent’s Hospitals and our clinical research teams make a life changing difference to so many in need.
Your contributions of more than $43.1 million in donations in 2022/2023 financial year have yet again gone above and beyond in enabling such important outcomes. In this edition of Highlights we focus on the significant progress we are making, with your support, towards our Heart Lung Centre
of Excellence with important projects across Heart and Lung Transplantation, Lung Cancer and Interventional Cardiology. With your philanthropic support, St Vincent’s is able to lead the way in precision medicine, robotics and immunotherapy, along with providing much needed support for our Homeless Health and mission programs.
In an era of increased focus on global collaboration in clinical research and the transformation of healthcare systems, particularly through technology and innovation, our new partnership with the American Australian Association will enable St Vincent’s clinicians to benefit from a groundbreaking clinical exchange program. This partnership builds on our existing relationships with leading Hospitals and medical research institutes in the United States. We are grateful to the JW & M Cunningham Foundation, Delta Goodrem Foundation and the Estate of the Late Valerie McKenzie for their early support of this exciting initiative.
The role which philanthropy can play in supporting St Vincent’s Hospitals areas of international excellence and ensuring we bring the best in treatment, cures and care to all our patients is a developing area of the Foundation’s endeavours. We are grateful to John Symond AM and Amelia Symond for inspiring us through their support of St Vincent’s partnership with the Dana Farber Cancer Insitute in Boston.
Once again, thank you all for your support. As you know, everybody matters and every gift counts in helping St Vincent’s Hospitals to continue to make life changing differences.
