A bequest, 35 years in the making improving palliative care

An incredible bequest, decades in the making, will improve the lives of palliative care patients and their families.
35 years after Alma Millane’s passing, her final wishes were fulfilled on the weekend with the auction of her home in Maroubra. The proceeds of the 1920s bungalow on Storey Street will help to improve patient care at St Vincent’s Hospital’s Sacred Heart Palliative Care Unit. The funds will go towards end-of-life care, supporting Hospital-in-the-Home Programs for palliative care patients and their families.
Dr Davinia Seah, Director of Palliative Care at St Vincent’s, was ‘overwhelmed’ with appreciation stating “we are so grateful that such a kind donation will be able to help so many people in such a difficult time of their lives”.
