A message from our CEO – Spring Highlights 2022

As we continue to learn to live in a world with COVID-19, the values embedded in our St Vincent’s mission have shone through our response, with our Hospital leadership and staff having once again gone “above and beyond” to ensure the best possible patient care.

Despite the day-to-day challenges posed through the recent winter months, with your support, our Hospitals have made progress on important projects which will result in significant improvements.

We are so pleased to announce the new Ernest Heine Family Foundation Emergency Trauma Operating Theatre is complete and became operational in August. This facility which now has the very latest “RAPTOR” technology will ensure St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney continues to lead the way as the city’s major trauma service. Thank you to the RAPTOR Fundraising Committee led by Jenni Smith and all our donors who helped raise $10.65 million for this vital and lifesaving development.

We are also grateful to The Hon Dennis Mahoney AO QC, Ferdi Dominelli OAM and family, the Ubeja family, Ginia Rinehart Robinson, Sally White OAM, JW & M Cunningham Foundation, The Howarth Foundation, Dr Peter Brennan AM and Michael Lynch and all our donors to our recent mid-year appeal for your support of our Heart Lung Clinic and ICU redevelopment projects. With your support, we have raised $3.8 million of our $5 million target, which will enable the works to commence on schedule.

The combined generosity of all our donors continues to enable the vision of St Vincent’s Hospitals to be the best at caring for the most vulnerable in our community. Thank you all for your ongoing support. With the arrival of spring and a range of upcoming events being planned, I hope to be able to see you soon to thank you in person.
