The Foundation is excited to announce it has developed two new major partnerships with corporate organisations who will be supporting important capital works projects assisting our Indigenous patients and our Junior Medical Officers.
The new Gadigal Room, a place for Indigenous patients and their families to seek support and solace, will be made possible by our new Platinum Corporate Partner, Kembla Corp. Founded by Mark Ella, former Australian Rugby Union Team Captain and one of the famous Ella brothers, Kembla Corp is a majority owned and operated Indigenous business supplying a range of products and services to the Australian government and corporate sectors.
Our new Gadigal Room will allow our Aboriginal Health Unit to expand their services and ensure there is a culturally safe space available for Indigenous patients and their families, 24 hours a day. We are very grateful for both the support and guidance of Vaughan Richards, General Manager of Kembla Corp, and their Board, for making this important project possible and excited to welcome them as a new Corporate Partner.
We are also very happy to announce that Bunnings Alexandria and Bunnings Rose Bay will be refurbishing the St Luke’s Lounge for our Junior Medical Officers (JMOs). JMOs experience some of the highest rates of mental illness and distress due to the demanding nature of their work. St Vincent’s has launched a wellbeing program committed to improving the environment for these young medical professionals, and together with Bunnings, the Foundation has ensured our JMOs will now have a place where they can unwind and recuperate when needed.
Thank you to Kembla Corp, Bunnings and all our Corporate Partners, who continue to provide much needed support across all our St Vincent’s Hospitals and Facilities in NSW.
If your organisation would like to learn more about corporate engagement or would like to discuss ideas on how to support St Vincent’s, our patients or staff, please contact Jennifer Dobbins on jdobbins@stvincents.com.au.
