Our wonderful patients, nurses and doctors came together this August to raise money for St Vincent’s in the annual City2Surf fun run! Together they sauntered, walked and ran through the course all to help St Vincent’s!
Connie had never run a City2Surf before, the most she’d ever run was a school relay! But since her double lung transplant, Connie has embraced life and is committed to doing everything she can to raise money to support the Transplant Unit at St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney. By running up Heartbreak Hill in this year’s City2Surf she managed to raise more than $7,000 for the hospital. Way to go Connie!
Our compassionate palliative care team at St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney also went above and beyond their day-to-day work, by running in this year’s race. Their goal was to raise money for an End of Life Biography Service at St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney. This service allows patients to have a book written about their life, which is given to friends and family members for a lasting memory. Thanks for running to support St Vincent’s!
