Inside St Vincent’s Webinar – DonateLife Week
Saving and transforming lives through organ transplantation

Wednesday 29 July

St Vincent’s has been at the forefront of Heart and Lung transplantation for over 35 years with the Heart Lung Transplant program established by the late Dr Victor Chang AC in 1984.  Since then with the support of philanthropy, St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney and the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute, have continued to lead research and innovation including the development of the “heart and lungs in a box” organ care system and the establishment of Australia’s first Advanced Cardiac Imaging Centre.

Organ and tissue donation saves and transforms lives. With around 1,700 people on Australian transplant waiting lists at any one time, each one of us can make a difference in the lives of others by registering as a donor and telling your family.  Families play a crucial role in the donation process because they are asked to confirm the wishes of their loved one. Visit DonateLife.gov.au to register or find out more about organ donation.

Understand more about the ground-breaking procedures and technology that are increasing the rate of transplantation and saving more lives than ever.

Thank you to our panel who joined us to share the journey of organ transplantation.
