In the last three months, our hospitals and community have once again had to deal with the impact of COVID-19. Our frontline workers have been under enormous pressure. They have responded to surging patient numbers, conducting tests and vaccinations, all while facing significant staff shortages.

We have all once again witnessed the extraordinary commitment and tenacity of our colleagues. They continue to provide outstanding care following “The St Vincent’s Way” of our founding Sisters of Charity.

From the beginning, the Sisters gratefully accepted paintings, drawings, textiles, sculptures and other works. 2021 Endowment Grants enable Innovation in Patient Care

The St Vincent’s Curran Endowment Fund was established by Paul and Elizabeth Curran in 1984. Since then, it has been providing support across St Vincent’s Hospitals and Facilities in NSW through small to medium sized grants.

Donors support Managed Alcohol Program

Each year, 1 in 5 Australians experience mental ill health such as depression and anxiety often associated with alcohol and substance misuse. There has been a significant increase in people identifying themselves as suffering from a mental health or addictive disorder since the COVID-19 pandemic.

Welcome new Foundation and Hospital Leaders

St Vincent’s Private Hospital Sydney and St Vincent’s Private Community Hospital Griffith welcomed Ms Heidi Bayliss as the new CEO in February 2021. This new role will extend Heidi’s impressive career in health spanning more than 30 years. In addition, St Vincent’s Curran Foundation are delighted to welcome Joshua O’Rourke to the role of St Vincent’s Curran Foundation Deputy CEO to assist CEO Shanthini Naidoo and the Foundation team.
